ForenSeq Kintelligence Kit

Target 10,230 SNP markers explicitly curated for forensic kinship use with the ForenSeq Kintelligence Kit. The only sequencing-based assay designed for forensic genetic genealogy (FGG), ForenSeq Kintelligence minimizes privacy concerns by excluding medically informative and minor allele frequency SNPs found in whole-genome sequencing (WGS) or array-based workflows. Robust PCR and primer designs allow for a single SNP multiplex that works across global populations.

The ForenSeq Kintelligence Kit is part of an integrated and supported workflow designed, developed, and validated to deliver high-quality outcomes with low-quality samples. Prepare up to 12 forensic samples per ForenSeq Kintelligence Kit. Sequence up to three samples per MiSeq FGx System run according to predefined run protocols. Analyze data in Universal Analysis Software (UAS) using the preconfigured ForenSeq Kintelligence Analysis Module, which includes recommended thresholds based on extensive in-house testing. Generate a GEDmatch PRO compatible report in less than one hour for investigative lead generation.

Key Features

  • Minimal Data Privacy Concerns The kit contains 10,230 forensically curated markers to avoid the use of medically informative or minor allele frequency SNPs. Maintaining chain-of-custody for evidentiary samples is simplified by enabling forensic genetic genealogy investigative and confirmatory testing and analysis within the forensic laboratory.
  • Fit for Forensic Purpose An optimized buffer system tolerates a range of inhibitors commonly found in forensic samples, such as calcium, indigo and humic acid, generating a > 98% call rate. Assay design provides a high level of process integrity and data quality so you can trust the analysis of even the most challenging forensic samples.
  • Fully Integrated and Supported The end-to-end workflow is based on the established ForenSeq process, enabling a diverse range of DNA analysis on a single, proven platform. The ForenSeq Kintelligence Kit links seamlessly with the ForenSeq Kintelligence Analysis Module in UAS for rapid data assessment and single-click report generation.
